SAVE

SAVE is an acronym for “Society for the Advancement of Education”, a US-based non-profit corporation registered in the state of Indiana. It has been founded by students and young professionals to serve the educational and economic needs of the poorest village and street children across the globe, one place at a time.

Some snapshots of our new compuerized classrooms. All classrooms now have Internet connection and are equipped with in-class computer-based learning activities. One classroom has a projector. More photographs are available in the school gallery section.

In a recently held Grade 5 inter-school quiz competition at Capital Foundation School in Charar, three students from Mashal participated in each of the categories (English, Science and Social Studies). A total of nine students took part. Mashal students secured the top positions in all categories! They won the top three positions in the English category. It was, to put it simply, "a clean sweep!". Congratulations Mashal school students who participated and the dedicated teachers and staff. You had made us proud! A special congratulations to the winners:

SAVE's first project, Mashal School, has successfully completed three years of operation. Thanks to the wonderful support we have received from donors over the last 12 months in which we were able to collect US$ 21,383. For the current academic year (Jan 2011 - Dec 2011) we have projected our budgetary needs at US $25,000. Kindly contribute to SAVE and help the children of Charar village get access to decent education!
