Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the poorest and the most needy children in poor regions of the world. Initially, we are focusing on poor areas in Pakistan. Why Pakistan? Because our present resources do not allow us to operate elsewhere. We hope that in the near future, we will have the resources to undertake similar projects in other regions as well. Pakistan is a place whose needs we know best. We feel that by focusing our efforts and resources on one place at a time, we can make a more meaningful difference in the lives of the children we help. In order to realize our mission, our present goal is to:

 
  • Establish and run free, high-quality, modern schools and vocational training institutes at the primary, secondary and post-secondary levels
  • Provide work-based education including vocational/technical training that can open the way for real employment/work opportunities for students
  • Provide modern/scientific education that can enable these children to become independent thinkers, responsible members of society and motivated individuals who can lead productive and dignified lives.
  • Raise awareness, in Pakistan, US and elsewhere, about the educational/practical needs of the poorest children of Pakistan
  • Help these children secure dignified employment after their education/training
  • Help interested students prepare (and pay) for any entrance/ admission/aptitude exams that they would need to take in order to enter institutions/professions of their choice
  • Help deserving students continue their education/training at institutions of higher learning or professional schools/institutes through scholarship programs that support them until they complete their education and find employment

We believe that good education can open the door to a brighter future for these children. We believe that many poor children of Pakistan are still not getting the kind of education that would make them responsible, earning members of society. We believe that the poor continue to receive inferior education. We believe that too many children in Pakistan continue to be deprived of real opportunities for fulfilling their dreams, realizing their immense potentials and becoming free and equal members of society. We believe that things need to change. SAVE has been founded so that we can all continue to be agents of that change.
